Produktbeschreibung

I had been looking for a good baby camera for quite some time now. I had researched some of the more modern cameras (Owlet, Nanit, Cubo, etc.), however, with COVID-19 many of the sellers did not ship to Latvia. The ones offered in baby stores seemed a bit outdated with their possibilities and the price point for a Motorola or Kodak baby cam seemed a bit too high, considering their lack of modern features for monitoring (alerts, an app, safety zones, etc.). So, considering its price and the many features advertised, I decided to opt for the Nooie Cam and here is what puts it above the rest:• PRICEComparing its price to the more expensive cameras (Nanit, Cubo, Owlet) which cost between 200 EUR and more, the Nooie Cam has all the necessary features of a good baby camera. You simply cannot beat the price of a 40 EUR camera that has an app, alerts, two way audio, night vision, motion and sound detection, modern design, a super clear image and many more extras. Nowhere in the shops did I find a camera that would come close to the Nooie cam in its price and performance.• CONNECTING THE CAMERAConnecting the Nooie cam was super easy through its app. The camera comes with a short instruction manual that has a QR code for the camera to read in order for it to connect. All the steps are self-explanatory and I had the camera up and running in a matter of minutes. I haven't experienced a lot of connection issues, although it kept refreshing the image a few times when I had placed it close to one of the main walls of my apartment. I moved it a bit further and there have been no more issues thus far and the camera has never lost its signal, although there were times when the video would lag a bit.• APPThe app is made in very clean, with a minimalistic design which allows you to access all the necessary features without having to search various settings. Everything is very clearly laid out. The app is easy to use and there have been no issues for me.• QUALITYI was pleasantly surprised as to how good the quality of the image was. Very clear, colourful image at 1080p HD. The night vision camera works great as well. The image is clear and the lighter parts are not overly exposed as could be seen on some of the other cameras that we looked at.• ALERTSYou can activate alerts on the Nooie cam which send a notification to your phone when a sound or motion is detected. It is basically all that you need to keep an eye out for your baby when you are not physically present. While the more expensive cameras can give you alerts on rollovers or track the baby's breathing, having used the Nooie cam I find that those features are, honestly – not necessary. As much as you think you would need to keep an eye out for every breath that your baby makes, it is usually not the case and a simple notification on your phone that the baby is awake and moving will suffice.• CONTROLYou can rotate the camera up and down, left and right easily from the app. You can switch motion and sound detection on (Low, Medium, and High sensitivity options are available). The controls work smoothly and the sound and motion detection alert you when there is actual sound or motion in the crib or room. You can listen to what is going on and you can speak through the microphone on the camera.• ACCESSYou and your family members (if you create an account for them and give them access to the camera view via an e-mail invitation) can all operate the camera remotely. At first I thought that meant only viewing the image when you were on the wi-fi signal, but no! You can also see the image when you are far away from home. We had to go visit our friends approximately 150 km from home and we left the camera as a sort of "security camera" facing the whole room. I could connect to the camera easily and could move, talk and listen to what was going on at home. I switched on the sound and motion detection alerts on "HIGH". I received an alert for motion and sound, but going in the app to view what was going on, I saw that our dog had entered the room and gracefully placed himself on the couch, haha! So you could say it works great as a security camera as well.• DESIGN AND LOOKThe Nooie cam fits into any interior. It has a modern design and doesn't resemble the typical bulky baby cameras (you know – the ones with the weird looking light diodes around the eye of the cam). It was packaged very well and there were no dents on the box when it came.Overall – the cam has been great help to our daily lives. Whether we need to go to the kitchen to cook a meal or simply want to view what's going on at home while we are not there, the camera does its job. I would highly recommend getting this camera based on its price and the features that it provides since it is completely enough to make you feel safe about your little one while you are not next to them.
The Nooie 360 Cam is an indoor camera that so far is giving me very good results. I always say that you have to wait a few years before you can judge the robustness, consistency and durability of a product, but the initial feeling, both in sight and touch, is very positive: the feeling is of a well-made product.Important: it requires continuous power supply via micro-USB cable. It's not intended to be a hidden camera, it's a camera in plain sight, suitable for monitoring pets or small children. The build quality seems very good. It can be placed standing, as is, on a shelf for example, or hung on the wall or ceiling with the bracket that comes with the camera, always bearing in mind that the power cable has to reach it. It does not work with batteries, unless it was a power bank or something similar, external, with its micro-USB cable.Another important requirement is that it must be able to connect to a WiFi network. This model (360 Cam) is compatible with 2.4GHz networks, not the 5GHz ones. This connection is essential to be able to control and configure the camera. The set-up of the camera includes, precisely, connecting it to the WiFi through the Nooie application. This setup is quick and easy, although it is not suitable for low-tech people like my mother-in-law.The configuration of the camera and its subsequent control is done through the Nooie App, to which we will have to register. As you would expect, the Nooie app allows you to configure and control all of the brand's devices simultaneously: smart plugs, pet feeders and cameras.Once everything is configured, the application allows you to see live what the camera is seeing at that moment. You can move the frame left and right and up and down. This can be done from any cell phone that has an internet connection (you do not have to be in the WiFi of the place where the camera is) connecting through the application with our user. It cannot be done via web from a personal computer, as far as I know.At any time you can take a picture or record a video of what is happening in front of the camera, if we have configured storage media.Regarding storage media: as usual in this type of product, it is possible to insert a memory card. It is compatible with microSD cards, which are placed in one slot that is very well camouflaged near the camera lens. I wouldn't have found it without the instructions manual; you have to turn the camera off (unplug it from the power supply) and move/rotate the lens to expose the card slot, which will normally be hidden (except perhaps if the camera is mounted on the ceiling). When we want to store a photograph or video, it will use the available space on the card. It can be set to record the sounds along with the video or just the video. When the card is full, the oldest files will be deleted. If we want more versatility, we can subscribe to one of Nooie's cloud storage services. The 360 Cam can see in complete darkness, at least a few meters away. To do this, it emits an infrared light (invisible to the human eye) and is set to night mode (this can be forced or done automatically). In practice it is as if it had a flashlight or a kind of flash that illuminates the scene with this infrared light. The camera can be configured to record continuously. The videos will be stored on the card until it is full, at which point the oldest ones will be deleted to save the new ones. As I mentioned before, if you want more capacity you should take a look at Nooie's subscription plans.Event detection: the 360 Cam can be configured to detect motion or sounds, and record the moment they occur, storing the video (and sound, if configured) for the duration of the motion or sound, which can later be retrieved and saved separately. The motion detection area can be configured by defining a rectangle within the image. I would prefer it to be a grid, selecting squares for example, but it's not bad.A very interesting feature is "Motion Tracking". When the camera is activated because motion has been detected, in addition to warning us and recording the events, if the "motion tracking" option is activated the camera will move trying to keep in the frame the object (or living being, normally) whose movement has been detected. I find this a very useful feature, because this allows to have the camera pointed at the entrance of an enclosure and then the camera will follow the evolutions of the person or animal that has activated the motion detection. The camera is compatible with online's Alexa devices. I have not tested this functionality. All in all, so far I am happy with the purchase. The camera meets the expectations I had about it.
